So I finally got 1.3 on my ‘21 yesterday and got to test it out (yea!). It really is a great improvement. But I was a little confused by the lane switching indicators.
When in full BC hands free there are now chevrons next to the car in grey (“<“ and “>”). But I guess I’m not sure what they mean.
They look disabled to me. I thought they would light up when I could use the lane change functionality, but I always seem to have that.
There was only one point while driving around when one disappeared when a vehicle was in the lane next to me. Other times there were vehicles it stayed there.
Additionally when in the far left or right lanes the chevrons were still there despite there being no lane to go to (I did not try switching, I’m not crazy).
I did see the “lane change available” pop up once or twice.
So what, if anything, do the chevrons mean? What triggers the pop up since I can change automatically without it?
Other than this, huge fan. Way better centering. Lane changes are nice. And “scootch over for truck” is fantastic.
