I have always rotated tires unless mine were staggered, then I ran them until but sill always kept them inflated properly and balance them every 12-15,000 miles. I had then done on my MME because I bought the extended warranty and service since I got 0/72. Ford came to my work and did the service for free.

So you have the staggered, so you don’t rotate? I have the cross climate 2, which can only go back to front or front to back so I’m thinking there’s probably no need to rotate all-wheel-drive front to back with that set up as well? On a normal vehicle, I probably would, but the fact that I don’t ever hardly use the brake pedal I’m thinking the front, although the steering aren’t wearing much more than the rear.

No, currently I have stock 19" with the Michelins and yes I rotated them.
The staggered I mentioned is my ICE MB.

Are your Michelin’s the type that can go from front right to left rear that type of set up or like mine that can only go on the same side either back to front?

Yes, mine are non-directional so they can go anywhere. The directional tires are the ones that can go front/back, back/front they have to be on the same side.

Yeah, I’m not sure whether to rotate or not but I’d probably do it myself. It’s so easy with two jacks. I know in 2000 miles I’ve got my 10,000 miles coming up and I know it’s fairly cheap for the 10,000 mile service from what I understand and I know they’ll probably do it then so we’ll see. Thank you for your response.

My local Discount Tire (Oregon) knew all about the pucks and lift points. Two seasonal swaps and they’ve done it right both times. Going for the third swap in two weeks.

Thanks. Did they have the pucks or did you have to provide them?

I bought the AOSK pucks and as was mentioned, 20 bucks is a pretty good premium for an insurance policy that may save you thousands down the road. The pucks come w/these nifty stickers you can put on each side of the battery frame rail. I took it one step further and got these jack point stickers to make as abundantly clear as possible where the jack point access holes are.
I returned 2 sets of the jack pads back to Amazon. The red O-rings are too large in Diameter. They protrude to far outward. I finally went down to the Local NAPA and got ones with a smaller cross section. _PTE_

I bought the jack pads and tried to use them. It wasn’t obvious to me that it was really better than jacking on the exact same spot with my jack. The pad squished and deformed. No big deal, I guess, but that rail with the hole was designed to be lifted on. I don’t know why some marginal spread of the load is really better.

If you need the jack pad to know where to lift, then go for it. But, even a bottle jack with a small footprint, put in the right place, is just fine to lift the car. The car was designed for that.
