Hi folks, got my MME last week and excited to drive around. most of time, i will use Level II charger (240 outlet at home with mobile charger and charger at company), I am wondering i should get up SOC limit to 80% or 90% ? also what you guys think about wall charger vs mobile charger (I rarely use mobile charger at home as company charger is FREE :) ) , should I have wall charge or it is going to have problem for mobile charger if you plug in 240 V outlet for all the time. third question is about that little butt at charge port, before i unplug the charger, do I need to press it ? i saw some youtuber pressure it before unplug the charger but most people do not

thanks

L2 charge levels are recommended to stop at 90% in the manual.

But everyone has their own decisions. Mine is charged to 100% once a week because I don't charge daily.

Charger at home, I don't use the unreliable Ford mobile charger. Mine is a wall mounted hard wired EVSE at 48A (11kW) for maximum efficiency.

As for the disconnect, L1 and L2 chargers do not need to be released/unlocked.
Only at a L3 (public DCFC) you will need to press the button in the center of the blue/white lights, to disconnect.

As another data point, some of us just use the included mobile charger plugged into a NEMA 14-50 plug for home charging. I’ve been doing that once or twice a week for over a year and a half. If I take a road trip, I MIGHT take it with me but using my mobile charger isn’t usually part of the road trip charging plan. Other than those rare times, it stays plugged into the wall in the garage.

My mobile charger DOES get the intermittent amber light while charging but it still goes fast enough to charge fully overnight. I’ll probably see if they will replace it for me at the 30k mile service. If not, I’ll keep using it as long as it keeps charging.
