Big bill for tiny repair!!

Hello all,

Sadly, I had a bump in my Mach e EX RWD a couple of weeks ago. I was doing about 10-15mph and grazed another car going round a corner, see attached. Took 2 weeks to get repaired and the total bill was £3980! I haven't had a claim on my insurance since I was a teenager but was shocked at the cost of the repair. Anyone else had any repair works done and has the cost been high?

Car parts, and labor, have gone up a lot. Not unique to Mach-E. Each bumper part is close to $1,000. Headlight is over $1,000.

I think this is the key part. This seems like a pretty reasonable cost considering they cannot repair that bumper, there are damaged sensors and fender trim, and I can't tell but if that headlight is damaged they would replace it as well. A lot of new parts needed with labor and paint.

This is a typical cost of a repair for any vehicle with this sort of damage these days.

Sure, I see three parts that go across the entire front end, the wheel lip molding (cheap) and the headlight (expensive).

Sounds about right. A snowplow moved a rock on a sharp corner and I scraped the rear quarter panel. The first quote was $1,300 and in the end, it was over $5,000.
