BC 1.2 - My predictive cruise slams on the brakes from 55 to 25mph on rural roads. It also picks up frontage road speed limit signs from 2 lanes plus a large median away. Any chance these have been updated in BC 1.3?

Also - after entering the interstate and merging with the traffic flow BC 1.2 picks up the first speed limit sign and then rapidly reduces the cruise speed setting to the posted speed. This is dangerous at highway speeds. I turned off auto speed detection. - Just so you know the vehicle is well aware of the highway posted speed limit as it is displayed on the dash prior to reaching and detecting that first speed limit sign.,
That was my big complaint, the rapid decrease in speed when it notices the sign or sees a curve (maybe you don't have that fun feature yet until 1.3). The fact that an update makes it so you have to disable features is pretty........not good. But, it sounds like once you get ALL the updates, then you can have speed limit recognition because you can disable other features instead.

I have a 2021 GT and I have also used FDRS to update modules in the past, although probably not since over a year ago. How do I find out what version of BlueCruise is currently installed?

Lane positioning is working in my 2022. I didn't realize I even had a BC update until I saw it happening yesterday with my own eyes.

I have a 22 MME Premium extended range AWD that never had BlueCruise until July 13, 2024, following an update. I was in the west side of Jacksonville, Fl, driving east on I-10 when it popped up on my screen! The surprise caused me to miss my exit onto I-295. Anyway, I turned it off due to the construction but once I got back to I-95 N past the airport, I put it back on. Love it! This past weekend, was back down in Jacksonville and it did not come on. Is there a trigger for it to come on, like light traffic or sunny skies? Asking seriously. Can't figure out why it comes and goes. Any ideas?

Thanks @Ford Motor Company, since it took 500 years to give me updates for my car, I missed the window of my free trial to test this new version of BlueCruise and maybe like it and buy it.

@Ford Motor Company this is excellent communication. Thank you.

2021 owners appreciate the work the BC Team is doing and we’re looking forward to this same OTA.
Perhaps some of us might still own the vehicle when that happens.
This was the funniest line for me, "some owners may experience a delay in getting updates via ‘Settings’ on the in-vehicle screen. Not to worry, this will all be restored with a future software update."

So, for those of you not getting software updates, don't worry. We'll fix that with a software update ...
You need the 4 updates that update your ability to get updates easier. These will be released soon, again.

I know this action would make BC1.3 less autonomous, but it is still possible to press down on the accelerator to temporarily speed up through a curve, correct?

Btw, does BC1.3 slow you down only on the sharpest curves or also on a gentler curve that can stretch for a mile or so?

Two weeks ago we received BC 1.3. I must say it works very well. So well my wife used it on one of her business trips. With that said, I don't think it's worth an $800 subscription fee.

Yes, you can use the throttle to maintain speed. My normal drive is takes me through a 65 mph interstate with people doing 5-10 over and normally I would maintain 70-73 mph. The predictive cruise will slow somewhat rapidly down to 58-60 for these curves, rapidly accelerating back to 70+ and slowing immediately for the next curve. It is basically like panic braking for a curve and flooring it to the next one before panic braking again. And yes panic braking is a bit of an exaggeration but it is not a smooth slow down

Going from 1.0 to 1.3 and have seen a noticeable increase in hands on driving and disengagements.

Before the update, 80-90% of my drive used to be completely hands off and am now seeing maybe 50%. Slow speeds seem to be significantly worse at reengaging.

Not happy at all with the update.

I'd love to discover the explanation for the vehicles that have reduced stability with 1.3 vs 1.0

That's so odd to me. Especially if there's no error codes or indications that the software updates didn't have issues taking.
Seems like some kind of recalibration routine would at least confirm all is supposedly well, because on both of my vehicles 1.3+ is far superior in almost every aspect.
