I am confused. I haven't used Blue Cruise since my original subscription lapsed. A few days ago I subscribed to the monthly plan since I am going to take a long drive next week. My intention was to keep the plan for one month only. I was under the impression that you could cancel at any time before the end of that one month and that Blue Cruise would remain active for the full month. I therefore canceled Blue Cruise a few days after I signed on and had verified that it was indeed active. To my great surprise, after canceling I immediately got an email from Ford telling me that my subscription was terminated and that I would get a refund for the unused portion of the original subscription. Has Ford changed how it does things? It just makes things a bit more complicated having to keep track of the renewal date to avoid being charged for another month.

For your first paid subscription, if you cancel within 2 weeks they will cancel and refund your payment. After that one time it goes the way you thought it would. (How do I know? A Ford rep told me the trick when I wanted to test it out).

Thanks! And thank you Ford for just confusing me!

Very confusing and good to know. Thank you and OP for posting about it!

Yes, when I subscribed for a month, I just set a calendar reminder to cancel on the 25th day. It then timed out at day 30 without auto renewal.

Wonder if Apple TV allows this. I could then subscribe just before an F1 race and then unsubscribe afterwards.😊

This in my opinion is actually a good thing, if you don't regularly use bc you can sign up for a trip and then cancel and get a partial refund of the unused days.

Sort of like blue cruise à la carte. I like it but I suspect if there were no yearly subscribers like me giving them a steady revenue stream, they might not offer this option. If that is true, you’re welcome!

I subscribed for 2 months as i had fractured my arm and BC made my highway driving easier. When I went to cancel in the app, it clearly stated that cancelling within 14 days would immediately end and refund the difference, but beyond 14 days it continues until the end of the billing cycle.
