So, my 21 FE was totaled just over a week ago (the other driver blatantly ran a red light, and I have handed footage over to insurance proving that), and I was one of the people who managed to get the $600 3-year renewal which has about 2 years remaining on it. I've been looking all over the Ford owner dashboard to look for a way to cancel so I don't get an auto renewal, but I see nothing on the site short of calling customer service (I do believe CA did pass a law that anything that can be signed up for online must be cancelable online). Is calling my only option?

I did manage to pick up a 25 this weekend, so it would be ideal if I could transfer the subscription to the new car, but I imagine there is wording in the legalese specifically to prevent this.

I don’t think BlueCruise auto renews.

BC is also not transferable (it’s tied to the VIN and personal Ford Account combination).

Those Mach-e robotaxis are using Wayve’s system (UK developed system), not Ford’s BlueCruise. Sorry.

I thought it strange Bluecruise was working in a built up area although it would be good if it did become a viable option to T****a.

I'm in a similar situation as the OP: paid for a 3-year BlueCruise subscription on a black 2021 Mach-E that was totaled and would like to transfer the remaining time to our brand new black 2025 Mach-E.

I do understand that Ford policy links the BC purchase or subscription to a particular VIN. Once resold, any paid software stays with the vehicle for the benefit of the new owner. However, that doesn't make much sense for a vehicle that is destroyed.

While it's not always easy to know the right thing to do, life brings occasional moments of clarity. In my opinion, this situation presents Ford with such a moment. A vehicle has been lost, and a loyal customer has chosen a replacement.

A profit-focused company will strictly enforce its policy. A customer-focused company will "do the right thing" and make an accommodation (transfer, refund, credit -- something). Sadly, I found out today Ford isn't that type of company, but they still build great vehicles.

Losing a car really stinks! Hope you were all right! Did you opt for the one-time payment for BlueCruise when you picked up your 2025!
