Now I have to go over to the grumpy thread, yet again.

I recently purchased a 2021 mach e. The build sheet states it has the prep package for 360 copilot. How do I obtain the update?

I received an invite and I signed up (on the sly). HOWEVER, the "Boss" told me no way are we paying $600 for this software when we won't use it very much (we don't take the car on long trips). I agree with her somewhat but I still want the software and I have some time to try and talk her in to letting me buy it. If she won't change her mind then I won't purchasing it when the software becomes available.

PS - The idea of not holding the wheel and letting the software "drive" the car sort of freaks me out and truthfully, I don't think I would trust it and it might cause me more anxiety when driving then its worth.
Similar issue for me. The boss said yes but now I have to buy her a case of wine and a new front door so blue cruise will cost me more than $600 lol

I'm looking forward to this as my commute looks like it is 95% on one of the approved highways. I already greatly enjoy my commute now with copilot 360.

Am I the only one who has no interest in BlueCruise? I received the invite but I am not going to sign up. I just don't trust these type of systems. Before I got my MME, I had a multi-day test drive with a loaner. I was going down the highway with the intelligent cruise control (where it adjusts for the local speed limit) on at 70. Suddenly, as I was approaching an overpass, the car thought the speed limit changed to 45 and braked HARD to get the speed down. Luckily there was no one around me or it could have been ugly. I'm not sure why it thought the speed limit changed, but my best guess is it picked up a speed limit sign for the access road that was running along side the highway.

Anyway, I just don't trust this type of software yet and I am much more comfortable driving myself. Am I the only one who feels this way?
For me, it’s the technology that interests me. I honestly don’t know how much I will use it because I’m not sure how comfortable I will be just watching out the windshield. But i will try it out.

I'm wondering how R&T, C&D and other mags will treat it.

And when, exactly, we’re going to have to pay the subscription? Those seem like the two pertinent questions.
Payment is probably required to activate the software. That means the answer is probably after the Power Up is loaded in your car and before you can use it. It could also mean before the Power Up is applied to your car.

Some trust it, some don't. Some are open to trying it. If you aren't one of those, don't sign up or wait for others to report how it works for them.

How much does this cost?

One time purchase? Subscription? ...?
$600 for a 3-year subscription.

Did anyone else get a $100 waiver offer for buying early? My dealer didn’t apply it to my finance incentive so I’m wondering if they owe $100
If you signed the waiver and it didn't appear in the sales sheet, they probably owe you $100.

It will come as a Power Up (OTA) and be activated if you sign up for it.

Drink the wine, appreciate the door. It's a win-win.

Agreed. $600 to eliminate the nagging to grip the wheel harder on long trips on limited access highways? I'm in!

It's actually quite amazing how much less "fatiguing" driving long stretches on boring highways is when using Co-Pilot or similar systems.

It just makes the drive easier and more relaxing. Driving on a spirited, fun backroad is very different than just driving for hours on the interstate. Saying you prefer to "drive" doesn't mean you can’t use these very helpful systems.
I signed up for it and I'm looking forward to using the system. I have a 1,400 mile drive from outside Houston to San Diego along I-10 and I-8 coming up soon.

That's really the main reason I'll get it - to get rid of the "place hands on wheel" alerts that pop up even when my hands are on the wheel. I can't imagine ever not keeping at least one hand on the wheel... At least for a while lol

What is "the nagging grip the wheel harder" message you and others are referring to. I've never had this message appear when I'm driving. Do you have to be using the adaptive cruise control to see it?
