I love bluecruise with the one exception that I think it's a little aggressive with the "keep your eyes looking at the road"... Even staring at the rear view mirror it gets angry sometimes and starts yelling at me to look ahead... Without going into an argument about what's right or wrong I was wondering if anyone has any info on a work around sorta like what the tesla owners have available to them to trick the system into thinking you are looking straight ALL THE TIME.

If you intentionally fool the system, you're increasing risks to yourself and to others around you on the highway. It's significantly less safe than just disabling hands free BlueCruise in the driving settings, since the car is continuing to control steering and speed even in situations where it expects (but may no longer have) your focused attention and ability to react.

In the Sync menu settings, you can select Normal Cruise control. That will take the eye nanny out of play.

I only use blue cruise on the highways obviously and it has a great ability to keep the car centered around light turns in the road. Does the normal cruise control work the same way? I don't need hands free but even the hands on blue cruise has the same level of nannying

No. You will just have basic cruise control. Lane Keep assist will work bit Lane Centering will be disabled. But the eye nanny won't bug you any more.

The face nanny isn't something I would appreciate at all. I don't have BlueCruise so I don't have the face nanny. I do have the steering wheel nanny though. That one isn't so bad. It gives me 10-15 seconds of freedom before it yells at me to hold onto the steering wheel.

Another view.
He is sitting in the left lane not passing anyone! That annoys the crap out of me. Do your little test in the right lane!

If it allowed me to look away but keep my hand on the wheel I'd do that all day long lol. I typically have my hand on the wheel anyway just bcuz it's ez to rest it there.

All you have to do is look forwards for 1 second every 5 seconds. Just break it up if you're trying to look at something longer. Which is how you should do it anyway.
