Not a lawyer, but if you tamper with the system or use a workaround and get in an accident it could cost you severely, I am thinking jail time in the event of serious injury and/or bankruptcy.

The face nanny isn't something I would appreciate at all. I don't have BlueCruise so I don't have the face nanny. I do have the steering wheel nanny though. That one isn't so bad. It gives me 10-15 seconds of freedom before it yells at me to hold onto the steering wheel.
How do you have lane centering without BC? Or are you ping-ponging along with just lane assist (not lane centering).

In my car, you can only have lane-centering on or off, and "on" must include face nanny.

If you intentionally fool the system, you're increasing risks to yourself and to others around you on the highway. It's significantly less safe than just disabling hands free BlueCruise in the driving settings, since the car is continuing to control steering and speed even in situations where it expects (but may no longer have) your focused attention and ability to react.
I agree. I like that it makes sure I keep my eyes on the road. I only have a few occasional problems when I wear an N95 mask that blocks the line of sight if I look up at the mirror (I drive patients to medical treatment that requires we all wear masks.

The only legitimate reason to fool the eye nanny that I know of, is when I have cruise control on, sometimes I like to put my hand at 12 o'clock. That blocks the camera and makes it angry. Otherwise, if you figure it out OP, please let me know so I know to stay away from your neck of the woods.

Until you get BlueCruise, the lane-centering is hands-on-wheel. Our face nanny lights flash but don’t do anything until BlueCruise is actually installed in the vehicle. A lot of us Job 1 people are still waiting for the BlueCruise OTA to finish (or start at all).

I don't have hands free BlueCruise. Adaptive with lane centering only. There is no face nanny in my car.

Ford Mustang Mach-E bluecruise work around? 20220926_090630

Now before all the worry warts freak out, I want you to know that I recognize I am 100% responsible for what the car does when I am in the driver's seat. No nanny is needed when you take personal responsibility for your actions. And I do. 100%.

Sooooo when I'm in "Hands on bluecruise mode", like you have above, my car STILL bothers me about keeping my eyes looking straight. Does yours not do that?

This thread should be immortalized for when people start complaining when self-driving tech gets banned. Giving how Ford has been hitting at Tesla I would expect Ford will continue to update their software to block cheats as they become public. California is already starting to talk about bans, this thread is good support on why it may happen.

Can you also tell me what the winning mega millions numbers will be in about a month from now?

Considering you're from the future, right?

I don't have the face monitor because I don't have hands free BC. It isn't even installed. If you look at my picture, you won't see the evil eye of Sauron there.

I don't vote for people who ban things. That's one reason I will never live in CA.
