I don't have the face monitor because I don't have hands free BC. It isn't even installed. If you look at my picture, you won't see the evil eye of Sauron there.
Ah thats amazing.....

It's soooooo funny that all the haters on here telling me I shouldnt want to circumvent the software but your car is literally built EXACTLY how I want my car to operate. But because mine has the ABILITY to be hands free, I cant revert to what yours is, which is hands on with no care of where you're eyes are. Toooooooo funny.

I should change the title to, How do you revert your car to only be hands on bluecruise lol.

Can you also tell me what the winning mega millions numbers will be in about a month from now?

Considering you're from the future, right?

Beg and plead with a Ford dealer to downgrade your cars software and then figure out how to prevent future updates.

You must look away for a really long time. Mine doesnt say keep eyes on the road for awhile if I’m scrolling thru the xm channels. I wondered if you could take a nap and put those goggley eyes on your eye lids.. haha

I'm going to check the codes w/ the dealer considering they have it for service right now anyway. I really am not looking away for a long time at all, I cant change any channels or dare look at the center console screen for any usable amount of time before it loses it's shit.

No. You will just have basic cruise control. Lane Keep assist will work bit Lane Centering will be disabled. But the eye nanny won't bug you any more.
Are you sure that shuts off the eye nanny?

Works like a charm. Now I have hands free adaptive cruise!

Now before all the worry warts freak out, I want you to know that I recognize I am 100% responsible for what the car does when I am in the driver's seat. No nanny is needed when you take personal responsibility for your actions. And I do. 100%.
Drunk drivers are 100% responsible for their actions, doesn't mean I want them driving next to me.

Hands on BlueCruise uses the eye nanny too. That’s all we have out here and it regularly complains.

I think you’re stuck with Bitchin Betty.

Except I am not drunk or taking a nap. I am paying attention to what is around the car and what the car is doing. I am ready to take over in an instant if something goes wrong. For example, lane centering doesn't work that well in the far right lane because it gets confused at on ramps. It disengages. So I take over before that happens. (Maybe that is why that guy did his video in the left lane.)

I came up with a name for this: Redneck BlueCruise.

I am not sure how often I will use Redneck BlueCruise, but for longer drives it does provide the option for a little less stress. In reality I like driving and I like having my hands on the wheel, so I probably won't do it that often. And when I do, I will do it responsibility.

No point in defending yourself to people that wish they can control the environment around them.

The only people we can truly control are ourselves. Drive defensively, as if everyone around you is dangerous and you'll live a safer life.

Please don’t do that. Even if you’re “100% taking responsibility for your actions”, people are now going to start equating Mustang Mach E owners to Tesla Idiots and this type of behavior just begs for excessive limitation of legitimate ADAS systems.

Oh good grief - eye of Sauron? We aren’t talking about Google or Meta here! We’re talking about a legitimate safety feature. Do you also buckle your seatbelt behind you? Have you also disabled the airbags in your vehicle? What about the emergency braking system? Can’t have the nanny car trying to help you avoid a collision now, can we? ?

He can call it whatever he likes, and while I didn't want this thread to turn into an argument I can't help but comment on how curious you are about what this random person does in his own car.

Do you think your belittling is going to change anything he does in his car? All it's going to do is have him defend himself and take another damn post away from the original thread...

Stay on topic people or don't post at all!

Your car does not, as built by Ford, have the ability for hands-free.
