aha.... so when walking away from the car, it *would* be more secure to either close FordPass, and/or disable BT on your phone.... re-enabling upon approach and while driving.
From my scan of the research, yes disabling BT would prevent the problem with the PaaK relay attack. Not sure if closing the FordPass app would for sure prevent it, since I think there might be a way for PaaK to work even if the app is closed. (Fobs are still susceptible to fob relay attacks.)No report on how many have actually been stolen, its still a possibility?
Could this happen? Theoretically yes. Likely? I very much doubt it.
