How long does it take now from booking to delivery

I just ordered a 22 mach-e GT Perf. the dealership says it may take 5 or 6 months to get the car. However, the dealership did not give me an order number. They say I will not get it until Ford starts the build. I am not sure what to believe. I see so many diff. things posted online. I also ordered a Lightning ....the dealership told me it was ordered. Then a month later they said it was not ordered and I was on a pre-order wait list. They told me at first it would be two years to get the truck. Now they are saying that they are hoping I will get a truck...not sure I will even get it. I do not feel warm and fuzzy about any of this. I currently own a 21 Prem. that I purchased used. Its a nice car but I really want the GT. Has anyone heard anything?

Totally random for everyone.....My first one - a premium - was ordered March 13 2021 - delivered Oct 21st. My second -a GTPE - was ordered July 13th 21 - and delivered April 29th, 2022.

Did you mean you just ordered a 2023, not a 2022 right?

Check out some of the "Build Week" threads under orders, reservations, etc. for some good info on this topic.

Build time seems to range from about 6 to 10 months plus.

If you ordered online and selected a dealer, you will be able to track the order progress through your Ford.com account. If you ordered directly from the dealer, you are at their mercy for updates. You can use chat on Ford.com to obtain updates but will need to have the dealer sales code and 4 digit order number from the build sheet that the dealer should have provided.

If the dealer placed an order for you, they will have an order number right now. Maybe they're confused or haven't placed very many orders?

If you just ordered, you ordered a 2023, not 2022.

2022 orders cut off 6 months ago.

Your dealer is wrong. You get an order number for your Mach E right away.

You don’t get a VIN until they schedule the build.

Try logging on to Ford.com to see if you have an order number.

Side note- you replied to an 18 month old thread. Pretty sure they’d have their car by now.

Ordered a ‘22 premium awd ext on 11/2/21. Still don’t have it. Built 7/18.
