Borrow a mongoose adapter in DFW

Before i go buy one, would anyone in the dfw area happen to have a mongoose or vm2 adapter?

my 21 premium was a salvage and does not have a warranty.I have a frunk error that needs a module reset with fdrs. Dealer can’t give me an estimate but likely $500.

i can buy a mongoose for about that much and enable other options like tilting mirrors in reverse.

You should be able to do a module reset in forscan.

I had purchased one, used it to unbrick updates, but the plug on it was super loose and I had to tape it into my OBDII port or else it would eventually wiggle out. Thankfully that didn't happen during an update. I returned it afterward. The return process via Amazon was very painless, for what it's worth, though I'm not suggesting you buy one, use it, and return it.

I do plan to purchase another one at some point, but it's worth nothing the one I received appeared to have been previously used or a refurb unit (either that or they all come with scuff marks) which was disappointing for a "brand new" priced unit. I suspect they get returned and resold frequently.
