See I can get on board with that. That's what I'm saying. It's because you like it better that way. That's what you should keep fighting for.The thing you’re missing, for me, is it’s not about where the numbers are on the screen, it’s about how it looks. The unbridled layout with the speedometer in the center was beautiful piece of design, as beautiful as any exterior piece of the car. When I buy a car looks are as important to me, if not more important, than how it drives.
So let’s look at this a different way. Let’s say you brought your car in to the dealership for regular service and while it was there the body shop smoothed out all the Mustang lines on the exterior of the car so now it was just a bland crossover. Would you be ok with that? Would you defend it the same way you are this? Would you be happy that now it looks like every other car out there?
No you wouldn’t.
We did not buy this car to look like every other car. We bought it, even if only in part, because of the way it looks. When Ford strips away those looks that should anger you.
It's just my personal opinion, that when people start making it into something other than their desire to have it that way, that it becomes a bit comical. That's when you get people trolling and talking shit, because it's not a rational argument to say "It's a safety issue," as some have, since it's been to the side on many vehicles throughout history.
I hope, for those who want it, that you get it back.
