So in one pedal, I feel the regeneration in whisper mode when I let off the pedal. When I put it in engage, that’s when I actually see the regeneration or rather the coach coming up saying hundred percent regenerated. Question I got when you let off the pedal in whispered, and you feel it regenerating are you getting the same regeneration in whisper or do you get more in engage?
Not sure.

I always drive in 2 pedal mode.

Whisper- no regen. It just coasts.
Engage- mild regen. Drives like a gas powered car.
Unbridle- moderate regen

Low mode- significant regen in any mode, but coasts at low speeds.
1PD- significant regen all the way to 0 mph.

Did you collect that regen data? If not, where did you access it? I have never been fully clear on when and how regeneration works.

Other than what I see when I am driving one pedal say 70 miles an hour and I’ll almost try to time it when I get ready to stop. I’m about 100 yards from my stop. I let off the pedal to see if I can coast all the way to the stop sign. Sometimes it stops a little sooner than I want, but I’ll see my percentage go up on my dashboard, I had 78%. It would go to 79 at the stop sign.

The information I was referring to is where you see brake coach pop up in the lower left that shows you like how many miles you can go how much percentage on your battery that’s what I was talking that area. I could see my battery percentage go up.

You can see it displayed on the power meter on the GT models.

You can also feel it.

You can also read up on how blended braking works on the Mach E.

Basically when you’re slowing down, you are almost always using regeneration. Friction brakes are only used for harder braking and the last few mph before you come to a stop.

What is it that people like about Whisper mode?

I’ve have been using Engage mode (one pedal) most since I got my GTPE last month.
The dog prefers Whisper mode.

So you’re saying when it’s regenerating, you’re not gonna see any kind of more miles you could go or the percentage go up that’s just some other variable making that go up?

Right.

If you're use to a PHEV where it gets say 20 miles on electric, you do see that range (say 14 left) sometimes kick to 15 if you are playing around.

With the Mach-E, the only way you're going to notice the miles go up is if you're on a long downhill drive, and you're regenerating the whole way. Otherwise, a tiny bit of regen is overridden by the usage of the battery when driving, and you net negative.

Only way you would see your charge percentage go up while regenerating is if you went down a large mountain for a longer distance.

The distance GOM and percent charge are both estimates, but are constantly recalculating based on how you drive and external factors like air and battery temp.

When it shows the percentage on accessories using a certain percentage, I’m assuming that is like daytime running lights, wireless, charging the radio being on, a USB drive plugged in?

Talking about “where did my energy go?” Also estimates, but yeah that sounds right.

Keep in mind with measuring batteries and electricity, it’s not an exact science in our cars.

It's basically EVERYTHING except the drive motors and HVAC. Everything operates off 12v.
