Cabin filter is soaking wet

Like I can wring water out of it. 26k miles on this thing and I’ve yet to replace the filter. Ran the mach E through a car wash today and it looks like there is soap bubbles in the filter.

Filter is scary black too.

Car wash is one of those that pulls the car through. I use the car wash once every week or two (monthly membership)

I’m guessing this isn’t normal. Didn’t see anything in the search.

Pull the cowling cover off and you can see where the filter intake is and see the problem.

Your cowl drain ports may be clogged allowing water to pool and run in the filter opening. Important to clean out the cowl every few years especially if you park under trees due to debris buildup.

There is supposed to be a rain hat over the filter opening. Normally the drain rate should be greater than the rate of rainfall.
