I was testing the speakers on my route 1 and seems like the actual audio is only coming out of the 4 speakers on the doors. Is the speaker above dash setup supposed to be subwoofer or something elee?

I dont hear any audio from that. Can someone clarify?

The California Route 1 has a 6 speaker system, the same as the base model, not the step up 9.1 speaker system.

yes it does, but I dont hear anything from the speakers above dash. i’m wondering if the dash setup is just there to fill the space without any speakers behind it in the route 1.

This video (5:44) gives a walk-through of the locations of the 10 speakers on the Premium model

The CA Route 1 only has a single speaker in each door, and one small speaker on either end of the dash, near the A-pillars. You can feel each speaker grate through the dash fabric.

You can also verify the speaker locations by going to the "Balance and Fade" control screen and moving the cursor all the way up to the upper right corner and get your ear in to hear the dash speaker there. Can't do that on the driver's side due to the steering wheel.

The Premium adds the center dash speaker, what appear to be tweeters in the rear passenger doors, and the sub-woofer in the cargo area.

Exactly what I was looking for. The speakers are so tiny, cant feel anything if I put my ears on the wrong place in the dash. I was able to find it.

Thank you, appreciate the clear info.
