I put a battery tender on to charge the 12v to try to get some updates finally. Is it a bad idea to plug the car in? 40amp level 2 of it matters

I thought about it the other day. I wasn't sure the current from level 2 charger wouldn't go into the battery tender. Another reason I dumped the idea was that I didn't see the point of having charge coming from two different chargers all going to the 12v.I put a battery tender on to charge the 12v to try to get some updates finally. Donāt really think the LVB donāt charge and stop charging as your post says. That seems questionable.
The car will charge the LVB while plugged in AND ACTIVELY charging the HVB if it needs it.
Once the HVB hits target it will apparently stop charging the LVB even if itās still low.
So given all that having two chargers attached seems problematic.
You don't need to charge the 12V battery to receive updates. That's not how it works, doesn't make a difference.I put a battery tender on to charge the 12v to try to get some updates finally.
Lvb state of charge is one of the few update requirementsYou don't need to charge the 12V battery to receive updates. That's not how it works, doesn't make a difference.
For it to install, not download. Just schedule it and let the car charge it up automatically.Lvb state of charge is one of the few update requirements
I thought o remembered that from one of Mach-Leeās posts. Sorry about that.Donāt really think the LVB donāt charge and stop charging as your post says.

No it won't download without the lvb being charged eitherFor it to install, not download. Just schedule it and let the car charge it up automatically.
Don't mess with AI, unless you program professionally in AI.Donāt really think the LVB donāt charge and stop charging as your post says.

Dicking about with LVB using tenders etc in my view is probably more problematic, messing with the mind of the battery management system sez the one with a 110,000 mile, 46 month LVB??ā![]()
Professional, and AI, in the same sentence?Don't mess with AI, unless you program professionally in AI.
