Can you hear the pedestrian sound inside the Mach E?

I had a demo MME from my dealer for the weekend a couple weeks ago. I thought the pedestrian sound inside the car was barely audible.

Then this weekend my dealer had my car and I took it for a 15 min drive (it hadn't been prepped at all). Both driving at slow speed and sitting stopped but in drive I could really hear the pedestrian sound. It was very loud (and annoying). As soon as I switched to park, it stopped. So it was definitely the pedestrian sound.

What are your experiences inside the car with the windows closed?

I didn't notice it on the test drive I took a few weeks ago. Didn't hear the back up alarm either. To be fair, I wasn't really listening for either sound.
I thought the pedestrian sound was only active when the vehicle was in motion.

With the radio and AC off, it's very easy to hear the pedestrian sounders and the reverse beeper.

To me, their benefits outweigh the annoyance.

Apparently I was mistaken.

The forward movement sounds are so quiet I really don't hear them with the windows up. I do hear the backup beeper. From the outside the sounds are audible but not really loud.

I can't hear it, even with the windows rolled down. Guess I need to get my ears checked.

Through mechanical means, yes you can. This is controversial due to its intended purpose (for nearby humans, not bears), but there's a whole long discussion you can search for on here showing how people have modded it.
