Can you see my brake lights

Using the one pedal driving and letting up on the pedal slows the car down quickly. My question is - does that turn on the brake lights so the person in back of me knows that I am slowing down? If not, I am waiting for the sound of screeching tires behind me.

yes the brake lights come on in 1-P mode.

You can easily see this in the dark if someone is following you.
