Works for me!! You should send it to Ford ;)
Yes! One feature on the Subaru Crosstrek (and likely other Subaru cars) was that it had red brakes that lit up on the car icon on the dashboard screen, so it was very clear when the brakes came on. They would be so smart on all cars that offer adaptive cruise control and one pedal drive, or other features that slow the car without directly pressing on the brakes.

Speaking of, I sure wish "L" mode could be turned on permanently within said settings!
I find it very interesting what the Owner's Manual says about "L" mode - "We recommend using this mode for driving on hilly or mountainous roads, or when towing a trailer. (See Trailer Towing)" And then under Trailer Towing, it says "...never pull a trailer"

Ok. So let's make it an optional feature. Many of us would consider it quite useful and not distracting at all, so the "we" in your first paragraph is really more about "you".
You will never get that feature. Like in the entirety of your existence. OEMs are not idiots and will not add something that is distracting to the IP. The we is all of us except you.

You mean unless I buy a Tesla, which already has it.

Yes, well aware of profiles. Well aware my family is annoyed by it!!!

The main reason I believe is that it should change by specially assign remote, which I've also done, but its been very inconsistent and unreliable. I've entered the car with my own remote, having my own profile, neither used by any one else and watched nothing change! It's 50/50.

Speaking of, I sure wish "L" mode could be turned on permanently within said settings!
Agreed that profiles sometimes don't detect correctly (make that frequently). However if each person knows their icon is really easy to check that your profile loads before setting off...

Teslas use their brake lights way less frequently than Mach-Es do. Try to drive behind one and you’ll see how annoying it is to the car following them (decelerating without lights). The fact that they have to correct for this issue using lights on the IP to the Tesla driver on a model S or X shows that they have a problem to solve. We don’t have a problem to solve. So let’s not create another problem that will likely distract the driver for no benefit.

Here’s a highlight of the issue I’m talking about:

Of course the solution is not brighter lights to the driver. It’s the proper brake light application to the vehicle following.

Again, YOU don't have a problem to solve because YOU admitted that YOU don't care what people behind you think about your brake light behavior, despite also describing to us how Ford's 1PD brake light behavior is "very aggressive".

I still don't know what "we" you've been referring to. You're the only one here making this argument. Many of us would find this feature useful, as evidenced in this thread and the 17 reactions that I received from the suggestion in post #5. Nice try though.

Ok, man. You seem to be angry about this and am in no mood to help you get recentered. Good luck and good bye.

One-pedal makes me car sick. So does Unbridle mode. I don't use them as a result.
I wish "Unbridle" lit up to others, like an Uber sign. It's my preferred mode and the one that puts a smile on my face each time I buzz past a Tesla with a bored-looking driver wishing their EV looked as fantastic as mine.

No door gaps. No bad paint (TM)

Funny, my Unbridle anxiety is the opposite. I worry that my brake lights are on too much of the time.

Now that Ford has moved the car to the center of the IPC screen, maybe they can make that useless static image a little more useful by illuminating the brake lights in the image when they're on in real life. I'd appreciate knowing when my car is automatically turning them on.
I feel the same way. I'm afraid one day someone following closely is going to hit me and say I was break-testing for insurance claims.

I photoshopped something along that line. Show the headlights are on and glow the rear light when the brake lights come on. I would love to have that.

Don't give Ford any ideas to enhance that image...lol. They need to remove it (or push it to the right) & put the speedometer & graphics back to the center.

As mentioned earlier by someone, Subaru cars also do this.
It's really not distracting at all.
