Not really worth worrying or arguing this point, we can simply rest assured that brake lights always come on when car brakes by brake pedal pressure, park application or going onto overrun when appropriate.

I know this is an old thread but I’m new to the Mach-e and was wondering how the break light worked in one pedal drive. I’m starting to actually kind of like 1 foot driving but the brake light thing makes me a little nervous… I think it would be really cool if Ford added some sort of break light indicator on the increment cluster.
I dig your profile picture. Someone with a white Mach-E should totally Ecto-ify it. All that equipment on the roof would absolutely kill highway range, though.

The regen difference with 1pd vs 2pd is said by some on this forum to be negligible.

You can test it yourself to get a feel of how it lights up corresponding to your accelerator. Here's how I did it: tape a piece or paper above the brake light hanging loose on the other end, over the light on the lift gate so you can see the reflection from the paper when you drive. I didn't drive over 10 in my neighborhood I could see it lit up when I let go of accelerator, if I remember correctly.

It can be. It depends upon how you’re braking in 2pd. It’s one time when we’re be honest saying YMMV.
