Anyone have any ideas? Neither are "greyed out" so I can toggle them, but neither responds at all to a press. I can force slide them to on, but it doesn't go blue, showing it is trying to turn it on and then just goes back to off after a few seconds.

Same thing with my lift gate setting. Says Manual, try to turn on Automatic, this one actually slides over blue, the additional setting pops up below allowing hands free on or off, 3 seconds later it just goes back to off.

Any advice...?

Some have reported various control functions being impaired being caused by the vehicle system being in the middle of an update. If so, it should fix itself when the update completes. How long has this been going on?

My car has already updated, as of 2 weeks ago I think. Before the update, Traction Control was just greyed out - can't speak to evasive steering or lift gate as I don't remember. Since the update, it seems like I can turn it on, rather than being greyed out, but no dice still. I guess a fun trip to the dealer.

Well, Ford's field engineer came out, they said he has no idea. They said he "performed an update to every single module and it still won't turn on." Which is HILARIOUS because FDRS shows him literally doing a self-test, running the ABS update for the 12th time, another self-test and then that is it. I told the advisor this and he just stayed quiet. This is getting super freakin' annoying.

So my dealer said he has no clue what to tell me. The engineer took the info on my car and said he'll send it to the team back at headquarters. What a nightmare.

Did you get the 4.1.2 update? If so, was this happening before that? Someone on the Mach E Nation FB reported the same problem. Unless that was you lol.

Wait… You have a GT, no? TC should just be enabled and you turn it off with the button to the right of the headlight switch. ?‍♂?

I haven’t looked in the menus on my car to see what the interface says, but I can feel the TC kick in at times and the button definitely lets me get the car into more trouble. ??

Hello everybody.

Here another car with the problem of the Traction Control disconnection.

It is not greyed out on the screen, but if I toggle it, after a few seconds, it connects again.

My car is a non-GT model, so I don´t have the button next to the headlight switch.

This is happening for a year, so I think it´s not a problem of an update.

Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot.

Hello again.

I rebooted SYNC with the steering wheel buttons twice without success.
I disconnected the 12V battery for about 10 minutes. No success (Thanks @MachELee for your help).
The 12 battery has been replaced and no success.

I´ve found this technical service bulletin on facebook but it seems only applies for Canada and USA markets and not for European cars.

Has anyone more ideas?

Thanks.
