Car play seems to work well most of the time but occasionally is does not connect to my iPhone 12 pro even though its mounted right on the dash next to the screen. When this happens I've turned off the car and opened the door to shut it down. I've hard reset the phone and tried to reconnect and no dice. Once I get out of the car and come back 30 minutes or more later then it works fine until some other random time but for that trip there is no way to fix the problem except to connect the phone by a USB cable and then it works. Curious if anyone else has noticed this quirk?

Had this issue until I received 1.7.1 and works super fast every time now. It would usually take a toggle of the CarPlay settings on the phone and turning bluetooth on and off for it to come back, also restarting the phone or the Center screen on the MME. I'm not sold that it's completely the MMEs fault either.

My Wife has a IPhone 12 Pro and this happened tonight while we were at the Airport in Orlando. She was able to get it to re connect without doing anything from the phone or turning off the Car. After that we got stuck in a massive traffic jam on the way home but her phone stayed connected all the way back.

My Carplay still "forgets to connect" from time to time. So far, turning Carplay off and on in the phone menu seems to fix it immediately.

I have an iPhone 7, so no wireless charging. When I needed to charge, I’d plug in the usb. Then, the next time I used the car, CarPlay would not connect via Bluetooth. Nothing I would do would make it connect, but the next drive, it was fine.
I don’t think I’ve plugged it in since 1.7.1, so it may be fixed.

I have had 1.7.1 for a while now so that does not seem to be the solution for me

Haven't tried that. I'll give it a try next time

Did you recently upgrade to 15.2? Have heard issues after that, people have to re-add their phones.

Mine was fixed after the dealer applied the CSP 21P22. Three weeks now and CarPlay only failed to display the image once. Audio will still work fine.
