Carplay 'boxes' - do they work?

I did a quick search on these (awesome) forums but didn't come across anything. I am a big Plex guy and am often parked in the car waiting outside my kids' activities. I would love to be able to watch movies on the giant screen while parked and not just on my phone. You see ads all over the place for devices like 'Magic Box 2' or 'Transcend Box', etc. Do these actually work on the Mach-E? I have a 2023 GT and an Iphone 13 in case it matters.

Success! No instructions, on-screen English pretty terrible, but it’s working I just wish the Mach-E screen didn't use so much space on bottom. I want full screen man!

I have one, They work alright. Usually are relatively slow and running older Android (I think mine is on Android 9) but work well if you can be patient.

Interesting, because that's even cheaper than what I paid, so if the old one works satisfactorily, I would assume the new one works better and maybe I'll swap mine out for this one.

@aporzio1 - Just wanted to thank you - I bought the one you mentioned and it is *so* much better than the 1st one I had. I ended up getting the 4 GB one (doubles the price) but so worth it. Love that I can install apps natively via the store (like Plex itself) and it worked flawlessly. Thanks again!

Anyone have the magic box 2.0. I just bought it but it's not filling up the whole screen on Apple car play. Thus I'm limited on using my whole keyboard to log in to anything. Any one else have this? Or able to successfully use magic box 2.0?

Before someone responds with a smart ass answer I searched and didn't see any relevant results for magic box.
