According to Ford on Twitter, from one of the OTA updates (power-ups), the rounded corners are now gone in Apple CarPlay. Just switch your CarPlay to use the black background and the rounded corners disappear from all views.
Ryan Tomorrow on Twitter: "Not sure if it was an @Apple or @Ford update but the little radii are gone from the corners of the CarPlay panel in the #MustangMachE now, making for a much cleaner and more integrated look. Super sharp. https://t.co/TgCVVdTpql" / Twitter
