Center console

Apparently I’ve got something in my center console that’s blocking the retractable cover from opening… literally it’s stuck and I can’t open it

anyone have any tricks?

I"m in the same boat currently, any solutions? I've tried banging on the back and side, and hard breaking going down a steep hill.

Took it to a dealer… they did some magic.
I don’t believe they disassembled anything but they somehow figured out how to get it open

Was really hoping there was an easier solution. I guess a trip to the dealer on my next day off is in my future.

Might be something at the front. I’d try repeated “opens” and hitting it from the front and sides. Maybe repeated opens braking down a steep heal. If you have a pen or coat hanger that can fit in the gap, try and fish around.

Just tried to fish around, unfortunately, there’s a bit of a lip by the cover goes over top of so it actually won’t go through into the glove box when I try to fish around. Tried hard braking going down the ramp at work as well as a bit of side to side motion and still nothing.

Well, worst case look at it as an unintentional time capsule.
