Hello Everyone,

My center console rattles while driving. It's nothing that any other car doesn't experience as it ages, but it is annoying. Does anyone have a good way to fix this? It appears to be coming from where the of the piano black plastic cup holder panel meets the panel that houses the knob shifter.

Thanks!

I do not have a solution for you, but can commiserate. Mine is doing the same thing, but thankfully only intermittently and I can usually fix it by pushing down on that piece. I'd be interested in hearing others' experience with this issue and if a fix has been discovered.

Yes, that has been my solution also, to push the console down and in various other directions. I'll add it to my list of things to do this weekend and report back if I find a solution.

I'm currently wondering if dry lube sprayed into the cracks would help.

Mine seems to be the cup holder, was the case in my old Mach-E too. Made noise when had something in the cupholder. Did not when did not.

I noticed that when my wife puts her waterbottle in there I hear the rattle. I always just thought it was the bottle itself. I will have to pay more attention to it, to see what is actually rattling.

i didn’t have this problem in my 21 job 1 premium but do in the 23 gtpe. bottle in = rattle. empty = no rattle.

i sprayed some silicone lube into the retractable triangles/grippers inside the cupholders and that resolved my rattle.
