This is what mine looks like. I guess I should sell it(Nope).

For pennies on the dollar too. No one is going to want a nine centered speed-o. You are doomed! Doomed I say.

Just realized the difference, mine is a ‘22 model and has fixed gauges left and right with a digital speedometer in the middle.

Nope, the Italian Stallion comes standard with Paddle Shifters with the option of either Automatic or Manual shifting. The selected driving mode changes up the dash layout substantially.
I suspect by "Manual" you mean the equivalent of "manumatic?"

I believe they discovered that a good manually controlled automatic transmission can actually make faster shifts than a human race car driver with a full manual clutch transmission.... But still, the purist in me loves a true manual transmission😊

Some of that is trim related.

One of the things I've never understood (well, I understand it, but it makes no sense) is why automakers cannot standardize things that are insignificant in the purchasing decision.

For example:

In the Mach-E, to set the speed control, you press upwards to go higher and down to go lower. In the Lightning, you press a + or - button.

Now, one can say "well, the Mach-E steering wheel is smaller, so we had no room for 2 more buttons". My response - "you don't need the buttons, make every vehicle the same, no extra buttons".

More parts to bid out, manage inventory on, ...

Here's the 2 steering wheels. Voice control on opposite sides. All volume related on opposite sides.

Good point, Rick. Perhaps they outsourced to two different companies because there were two different "looks" they wanted to reflect the unique character of each vehicle? And maybe there were two different suppliers that already had standardized wheels that fit the design desire, but no one company that offered both? And perhaps they were pre-wired with the controls on opposite sides?

Still, you would think that there would be a way to work around this. Like talking to each of the two companies to see which was willing to make a change....

Frustrating going back and forth between our MACH E GT and VW Buzz and having the controls so different, but at least they are different manufacturers! I find myself doing shadow actions of the wrong move when I get back into the Mach E (our daily driving car with my wife having first dibs--she's always been a Mustang girl!) from driving the Buzz for a few days (she's outfitted as a dedicated windsurfing vehicle with all seats removed except the front buckets.)

I can't help but laugh everytime I hear someone refer to an automatic transmission with paddle shifters as a manual. No, it is not a manual, it is an automatic with paddle shifters. A manual transmission has the extra pedal on the floor.

I drove real manual transmissions (including a manual clutch pedal) exclusively from the mid 70s until my 2010 Hyundai Sonata with a manumatic setup and paddle shifters. (As an aside my favorite along the way was a 1976 Mercury Capri 2.8L V6 five speed with RWD) The Hyundai was my path to weaning off manual transmissions, and after all that time it was a welcome transition to eliminate the "clutch pedal rowing" in stop and go traffic, for example. I finally made the cold-turkey-cut with the 2021 MME which also introduced for the first time in my driving career: SUV(ish), AWD, EV, 1PD, and full blown Computer-on-wheels. No time to look back and regret the progress, although sometimes I do.😉

Ouf, regardless of placement of the icon, it looks so bad! Why not use a proper OLED screen and having the open spaces pure black as well as more esthethic pleasing icons / speedometer. It reecks cheap.
I think they're going for historical feel. Next they'll be adding lunar phases.
