Help! Charged my car overnight on a level one charger and when I unplugged the charger the lights next to the charger stayed Blue. No matter what the charge level is for the battery is shows less than 50%. Closing and reopening the charge door keeps the blue lights.

I use the 120v ford supplied charger at my apartment to take advantage of preconditioning.

The service wrench will randomly go away for 1 trip and come back.

When I visited the dealership they did the HVAC csp, second key, and blue cruise. I already had the OTA and 4.1.2 though so not sure why the CSP was still open.

The dealer ordered a new module for the charge port and said they would call me. Is this a software issue? Should a fuse be pulled to reset? The dealer stated the HVBJB was fine.

The service message says reduced power but the vehicle drives normal and gets 3.5-4 miles per kWh even in the Colorado mountain snow.

Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this concern. Thanks!

So you took it in for service, the dealership told you they need to replace a module and ordered it. What else do you need to know?

Yes I did, but they stated a lot of maybe’s - we don’t know’s. There a lot of people familiar with these cars on here and my dealer is a mountain location with limited background and I’ve only ever seen one other Mach e in the valley. They just put one on the floor at the dealership.

Send me your VIN, I can check.

The blue lights show the current charge level before and after plugging in. They will pulse while charging.

OK, I see a few codes of concern:

SOBDM P0D56:24 - Not plugged in all the way see TSB: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...24-code-and-possible-12v-battery-drain.23525/

B15A1:08 - This DTC sets when the SOBDM lost LIN communication with the CSI (Charge Status Indicator).

SCCM U210A:29 Temperature Sensor: Signal Invalid - Bad or disconnected steering wheel temp sensor for heated wheel.

You also have some typical codes from wonky Level 3 charting stations.

Your service vehicle soon is a result of the Level 3 charging bugs, you need an OBCC update, make sure your dealer does that. See this TSB: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/tsb-22-2496-battery-not-charging-with-level-3-charger.24432/

So the issue is the the LIN bus communication to the charge port LEDs, they won't indicate status accurately while that's on the fritz. Sounds like your dealer is on the right track ordering a replacement.

In summary, you have two unrelated issues and need an OBCC update to fix the powertrain malfunction errors after Level 3 charging, and a new charge port to fix the indicator lights not working. You may also need a new steering wheel if the heated wheel no longer works.

Wow! In no time at all you diagnosed it more clearly than the dealership did for me. Thank you. It’s reassuring they are on the right track.
