Consider the following procedure: 1. Use fordpass to charge all the way to 100%. 2. After charging, precondition vehicle for 10 mins or so. During preconditioning, notice the L2 charger activates. 3. Unplug and drive to work.

What I've noticed (and this has happened a few time), is regenerative braking in unbridled mode turns off and it feels more like engage / whisper. In my 10 miles to work, the battery percentage stayed at 100%, and even for a bit when I got along on my longer drive.

I'm not too worried about it, but I did find it interesting that on a drive that usually drops about 4%, it drops 0. Anyone else?

Normal. When the pack is full you can't really charge it more with regen, so the amount you get is limited.

Taking a while to discharge below 100% is also normal with the BMS.

I'll remind you that you shouldn't charge to 100% everyday, 90% is the highest you should use for everyday use.

Could it also be there the reconditioning process expands the capacity of the battery (because it is warmer) dropping the SoC, and since the car is plugged in, the charger kicks in to bring the charge back up to the target?

What os more likely is that as your driving the estimated range at the beginning is higher than your efficiency so as you drive the range goes down but your battery shows 100%. Its the gom that is adjusting for your driving conditions.

If preconditioning when plugged in, the car uses power from the charger to do so and not from the HVB, this is too keep your desired SOC.

Yes, it is normal and others have commented they get the same. Others well say it’s an adjustment and all sorts of things. It does feel like it chargers more as you can go quite a way on 100%.
And no I don’t regularly charge to 100 but a few times it’s done it by itself.

Normally yes, but I think he's saying he used remote start for 10 minutes which wouldn't heat the pack.

I have left home at 90%, driven 10 miles on 0 F at 50 MPH, and arrived at my destination at 93% SOC. Just a weird thing since the update and I assume it has to do with battery temp. My car is in a heated garage prior to departure.

I've also had the case where my normal charge is 90% (I normally charge to 90), precondition and have the charge higher than 90%. I think what is happening is the precondition uses less than is supplied by the L2 charger, so it ends up charging the battery. I park outside in the cold.

This is by design. Absolutely.
