Has anyone else had these two errors occur when they were charging?

I have had to restart charging multiple times because I would get these messages and the car would stop charging.

These happened at various chargers I used including Francis chargers (Oklahoma brand), EVGO chargers and Electrify America chargers.

This was reported in some of the reviews early on (press reviews) that the chargers faulted or stopped after few minutes and had to be re connected some with multiple faults.

I've had horrible luck with the EA 350kw stations. They either time out in the handshake, or they start charging and fail about 30 seconds in. 150kw has been OK, but slow. I've noticed if I stopped charging from pushing the button on the charging station handle, or stopping it from the DCFC screen, when I unplug the car says charging station fault. Seems like its just the cars way of saying, It didn't stop the charge, the station did.

My stop at one of the Francis stations charged fast, but did stop on its own after about 20 minutes. No error. Just a popup on the big screen that it was unlocking the charge port. That one almost seemed more like the car stopped the session for some reason and not the station.

The problem is when it is less than 10' outside with a wind blowing and you have to get out of the car to restart the charging every 2-5 minutes, it takes a really long time to charge. Getting out to restart was even worse when the defualt happened at the beginning of the start. Every charger I stopped at had this problem.

I fully expect Ford will fix the charging issue.

I also wonder if this is what the Stop Ship was about. This car was built in November 2020 and according to dealer never got pulled for the extra QC check.

I got fault notice during handshake at every EA abd CP station today, on both 350 and 150 KW. Not sure MME can handle 350 actually. But I gad no problem charging at a EVgo at 50KW . EAsaid it was because I had three free “tanks” of chg coming from Ford and it wouldn’t let me chg to their ststem because of that. . So I deleted bith my vehicle and Ford Pass App ... didn’t help.

I’m getting immediate charge fault errors on the mobile charge station at home…on 120V no less. It’s worked for a few days, then suddenly tonight it won’t work

Be sure to call EA if you're having issues. I kept getting the paid options yesterday. I tried the different machines. Finally, they have me a complimentary charging session.

I had the same problem with my GT Mach E, it was giving me a charging fault every time I left the charging overnight with my JuiceBox. I took it in to Ford for service and they supposedly fix it by updating all the software and it was able to charge for about five days. And then the following Friday the same thing happen again I started getting the same errors with the charging. They’ve been troubleshooting it for the last three days and they finally called me and told me that they don’t know what the problem is and that they called Ford headquarters and they’re sending an engineer to investigate as to what could be the problem

Let me know what the result was. I used mutiple chargers yesterday including chargepoint, EVGo and EA. Came back home and put it on 220/240 V charging and got an error in the middle of the night that MME is not charging. This never happened before. This is irritating

I’m updating my thread:
Now Ford of smithtown NY has had my Mach E GT for over 10 days and I had to call them for an update. And nothing good.; they tell me after speaking with Ford engineers, the car needs a charging assembly kit which isnt readily available and its on order. They do not even know how long the part is going to take to get there. The parts manager estimates at least a week. And to put it together is supposedly going to take several days. I can’t express how furious I am, and this dealer is so uncaring about my situation being this is my only car and i need to go to my office that is 50 mins away. They will not offer a loaner and tell me to call headquarters to complain. I traded in my 2018 Mercedes GLE 63s AMG for this car. ? so furious.

I had those errors.

Was the most annoying thing error. The car went in to Ford Service 7 days apart because I could not get the My GT to charge and was stuck without a car for nine days without a loaner then Ford Headquarters stepped in and got me a Ford Nissan, omg what a Junker, after the second service request. Long story short, they had to change the Charging Battery which took several weeks to get the part and the car sitting in their lot and a few days for the actual repair. Supposedly it was a big job. Currently, I have had the car for over a week now and no problems. So glad I got my car back, was having severe withdrawals driving that Nissan Sentra!

So you might have to change your charging battery if the error persist.

Hey guys, so sorry, was Ford of Riverhead, that had the car, they were very nice in the end and finally fixed the car. It ended up to be the Charging battery that needed to be replaced. Supposedly was a big job. So three weeks and four days without my Mach-E GT and a new charging battery and I got my car back. So Happy! Ford headquarters stepped in also and were very nice to deal with. They are reimbursing me for the Rental car I took, (Still waiting on that)

Will keep you posted!

JUst an update for everyone, Ford had to bring in an Engineer from headquarters to figure this out and it ended up that I needed a new Charging Battery. And holy crap did it take a while to get fixed, A total of Three weeks and four days. So I finally got my car back and it has been running great for ten days already and no charging errors. I was thinking maybe the weather had something to do with it? I don't know and neither does Ford, as to the cause.

I use the heavy duty JuiceBox at home and it works great. It is the more powerful one

Can you tell me more about this "charging" battery?? Do you have a part #? Mine is doing the exact same thing for the past 4 weeks, and this is just with my 240V charger that came with the car. Worked fine since October.
