The frequent excuse is power companies not being able to supply power (and get transformers, when there is a documented shortage). Seen that reported enough to believe it to some degree, but I also wonder if it's exaggerated and just becomes an easy excuse for charging networks to blame too?Flying J delay? The one in Hubbard, Ohio (just north of Youngstown a few miles from the Pennsylvania border) had all hardware in place the second week of January 2024 but was not open for usage until the third week of June 2024! Too many stories such as this that makes one just shake their head.
Another example. Green Bay. WI broke ground September 2023 and the EA station did not open for customer use in January 2024! Plugshare has much of the story as the power company stated one thing while the EA headquarters stated something else. EV drivers actually contacted local and state elected officials on this matter and indications were the contractor was holding the project up.The frequent excuse is power companies not being able to supply power (and get transformers, when there is a documented shortage). Hard to tell for sure.
