Charging error

Once again the Ford Paas app has struck.
It wasn’t registering that it was charging last night even though it was when I went to the car to check.

It charged to 100% even though I went in the car to check and on the app and both set to max charge to 90%.
My understanding is it’s not good to charge to 100% regularly. I know they build in an extra cushion past that but is it really that bad if this happens a lot ?
If no, then NBD. If yes than an error is going to cause the degradation of my battery over time . Any thoughts ?

My car had this same problem. It started about 9 months after buying the car. I took it into Ford for the recall and told them about several issues including this one. They updated several software modules beyond the 21P22. I have only had the car back for two weeks but so far so good. I won't really know for a few more months.
