When you are level 2 charging, if you set finish charging for way later then it would take, does it set later start time or slower charge rate?

You get to control start/end times (like midnight to 6am), and limit (I use 90%), but not "rate"
It starts when it is allowed, and stops when it reaches specified level or end time.
Our starts at midnight, and charges till full (I specify 90% as full), or runs out of time (6am).

Depending on the charger, you may be able to control the rate of charge. My ChargePoint is set to 48A, but I can set it as low 16A.

It starts charging at the start of your charging window. At max charging rate that your EVSE is capable of delivering.

Exceptions are if there isn't enough time to reach full charge by your end time or by your next departure time. In that scenario the vehicle starts charging as soon as it is plugged in irregardless of your charge window.

So, for example......my off peak rates during the week from my utility company are 11 pm thru 5 am. I set my charge window to 11 pm to 8 am with a departure time of 7: 15 am. So, every night when I come home....if there is enough time between 11 pm to 7:15 am to reach full charge (or set percentage) then everything is fine. Vehicle starts charging at 11 pm and stops when the set limit is reached. If there isn't enough time......then the vehicle will start charging as soon as it is plugged in.

A little confusing I know......but that appears to be how these are set to operate.
I have a thread somewhere where I am posting the charging priorities as I learn more about them.
Hope this helps.
