Back in March I had weird 12V power drain issues. It took the dealership nearly 2 months to solve that issue and had the battery replaced during this time.

Now I get this notification with a Ford battery that was installed in March. Incredible.

Really?! This is a released production vehicle from a major automotive manufacturer that requires the equivalent of complex secret handshakes to remedy errors when simply replacing the 12V battery?! Something virtually every owner of every Mach-e will have to do one or more times during ownership. As always, 1000% appreciate the incredibly deep knowledge that Mach-Lee possesses, but I'm incredulous. This is almost as nasty as setting up WiFi on my latest printer!
Normally it's done in the shop with FDRS. This is a manual work around for those who don't wish to pay for or have the luxury of using FDRS.

I have had the message re trigger in the app with a time stamp every time I drive the car after getting a new battery for 2 weeks now and several BMS resets. Taking it to the dealer at their first appointment time available next week. Crazy
It's likely that the battery was not fully charged at the reset. It should be fully charged when you do a reset so that the starting point in the memory is correct.

Couple things. First make sure the alert exactly says “Check 12-Volt Battery”, not something else like “12V system drain”. Second, make sure the battery icon flashed when you did the BMS reset. And third make sure you drive the car for a while after resetting it. Last you will need to park the car unplugged and undisturbed for 6+ hours for the BMS to learn the SoC. The message might stay in your history, but you shouldn’t get another new message.
Just came here for this. We haven't driven our FE much over the past couple of months as it sat in our garage (climate controlled and HVB battery was around 80%) and a few days ago the "Check 12-Volt Battery" warning in the app. I did pick up a new battery a couple of months ago (Ford build date 12/2024) and its been sitting in the garage. I put the new battery on trickle charger after the warning to get it to 100% and I just installed it.

The install went smoothly and I did the BMS and got the flashing red battery light. The app has not updated yet.

So we should drive it around and let it sit for a day or so off the charger? That will get rid of the app warning?

Yes, try to drive it around and let it sit off the charger in between uses (like a normal person would use their car). Hopefully it clears after a couple days, but could take up to a week.

If I get the “Check 12v Battery message in the Ford App is it worth putting the battery on a charger, ( I have a CTEk intelligent charger ) for a few hours so the battery can be charged up fully or will I be wasting my time.

I think that depends on the circumstances. If you drive it regularly (frequently) and get this message, it might indicate that the battery is failing, and you might need to start pricing out a new battery.
On the other hand, if you have not driven it at all in the last few weeks, then a charger just might get it back up to snuff.
Battery age may also play a role here.

The warning message does not mean the 12V battery is low, it means it has low capacity and is failing. Personally I wouldn’t chance it, I suggest immediate replacement. Leaving it on a battery charger for 12-24 hours may help slightly but is not a long term fix.

Yes you are right once the battery starts to fail it’s only going to go one way and the answer is to change the battery.

Announced in September, rolled out in June...
Still waiting for a Ford Administrator or anyone with knowledge to explain the appearance of a little triple-AAA-type battery icon appearing to the left of the other little icons (very top right of touch screen); which disappeared after I ran the car while charging at 120v in my garage for around 2.5 - 3.0 hours. Did I re-charge the 12v battery? Had never seen that icon before or since.... My cell phone was not in the car (I had not and was not charging it).
Anybody else seen that icon?

You got the answer, that you were in Accessory mode, in that May 2025 thread... https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...icon-on-a-23-mach-e-premium.45450/post-955069

No "Ford Administrator" is going to answer forum questions.

Every time you charge the car, and drive, you charge the 12v battery.

If it appears again, take a picture and post it.
