Chimes Sound Staticky/distorted

In my case, the distorted chime is heard when the car is being powered down. Startup chime seems to be okay.

The music itself sounds absolutely fine. No indication of a blown speaker.

That said, there are a couple of glitches for sure in this department.

1. Distorted chime as I stated above

2. When music is playing, and when I press the SYNC voice command button, for a fraction of a second, the audio playing gets very very loud (cannot be right) as the fan slows down (which is per design) and then the music fades which is also expected.

3. A couple of times I noticed that the ringtone for an incoming call as well as the speaker’s voice is distorted beyond being legible. This was over Bluetooth (CarPlay not in action).

Maybe a loose wire or connection? That’s been an issue before with this vehicle for other modules.

@Gold1 it's noticeable with music. All weekend it was fine, no issues... comes and goes. Hard to reproduce.

I'm seeing what the ford rep here suggests but I'm inclined to get the car into the dealership and let them sort it out. It is either a speaker to be replaced under warranty or Ford has to fix programming. One of the big downsides with these "update capable" cars is it becomes harder to tell what's breaking things.

I went into Diagnostics, ran a Speaker Walk-Around Test and a Tones Test. In the Tones Test couldn't tell if it's the speaker. It's mostly the Front Center, but all the speakers have some distortion.

@Ford Motor Company what are my next steps? Setup an appointment at a dealer? Is there a long wait for getting replacement speakers? thank you in advance.

Next steps are call your dealer. The FMC rep here just puts you in touch with them and sets up a service ticket (to save you some time).

I am having this issue on my 23 GT. I listen to a lot of podcasts on my commute so it’s very distracting. It’s also intermittent but is happening more often.
When I hear it I can play around with the balance and shift it to full left or right and it goes away which tells me it’s the center channel. Maybe is the DSP/DAC or maybe it’s blown, but it doesn’t happen until the car “warms up”. I’m still under warranty and will be dropping off soon, just wanted to see if anyone has solved this.

I am recent getting this static issue too and just out of warranty. Any fix? I don't think it's the speaker, seems to mostly on the center though.
