In my case, the distorted chime is heard when the car is being powered down. Startup chime seems to be okay.
The music itself sounds absolutely fine. No indication of a blown speaker.
That said, there are a couple of glitches for sure in this department.
1. Distorted chime as I stated above
2. When music is playing, and when I press the SYNC voice command button, for a fraction of a second, the audio playing gets very very loud (cannot be right) as the fan slows down (which is per design) and then the music fades which is also expected.
3. A couple of times I noticed that the ringtone for an incoming call as well as the speakerās voice is distorted beyond being legible. This was over Bluetooth (CarPlay not in action).
