Does anyone know how to change the charging stations that Ford Nav chooses for you when you map a trip? Recently, on a trip I stopped to see friends and since my Mach e GT was at 48% I decided to top it off at a local car dealer. The next morning, when I resumed my trip, Ford Nav insisted that I go 14 miles out of my way to charge, even though I was at 76%. I could not figure out how to change the charging location so I canceled the trip, found a charging station, on Plugshare, 150 miles up the road, on my route. I started a new trip with the address of that charging station as my destination. It seems like I should be able to change charging locations without having to start a whole new trip. Anybody have any ideas?

Click on next turn road name or route icon on the left, click on next charge stop on the navigation list. There are two buttons showing near top of the map, replace and details. Click on replace to find alternate chargers. You would need to click on the fast charger icon to filter out all the slow ones you don't care.

In that situation I cancel the trip and start a new one. Also, I have my nav configured to ask me if I want to add chargers automatically or manually, instead of having the system automatically add them. If you have it configured that way, select the option to manually add chargers. It will provide a list of all the chargers on your route and you can choose the one you want to use. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezey.

However, the EA network is down and none of the EA chargers are showing up in the navigation system at this time. If your trip was in the last week or two, that is likely the reason it was sending you to an out of the way charger. At least until EA fixes their system problem, you will have to add EA chargers manually like you did on this trip.

Thanks for the help. I'll give that a try.

Thanks, I'll try that.
