When temps are below 25° or so and the car has sat and become cold, upon driving from a stop or coming to a stop I hear a loud cracking noise coming from the rear, at first I thought it was caliper related but it almost sounds like it's related to the motor in the rear, I can continue to make this noise by slightly tapping the accelerator and releasing quickly, over and over.. this noise goes away after the motor appears to warm up..

Put it in neutral on a hill and use the brakes to repeatedly stop the car after rolling. If it makes the noise, then it's brakes.

Great idea, I'll give that a try tomorrow

I have dropped my car at the dealership however it isn't cold enough in Minnesota to reproduce the noise on a consistent basis however the dealer did hear the noise and removed all brake parts, cleaned and lubed all necessary parts, they will try to reproduce the noise again this coming Friday as it will be 14° in the morning, I attached a YouTube video of the sound, excuse the talking but the sound is very noticeable.

Sounds to me like loose pads, possibly broken. They don't like moisture and tend to rust/weld themselves to the rotor.

It doesn't appear to be a broken pad, the dealer removed and, cleaned and lubed the caliper, slides, pads yesterday but didn't solve the sound issue, waiting on another cold day which will be this Friday as the noise only becomes present at temperature below 25°.. to me this sound is almost like an over torqued axle hub bolt, or internal in the rear motor, hard to tell though..

Definitely sounds like the pads are loose and shifting around in the caliper back and forth when you shift from reverse to forward.

Update, picked up the car today and it appears the dealer has fixed the issue.
Here's a run down of what was performed, pads, rotors and hardware were originally cleaned, then noise was present after, dealer replaced pads and rotors, noise still present, dealer tried with stethoscope to hear sound but couldn't reproduce during that period because of warm weather, today 8° heard the noise then dealer loosened all bolts for rear suspension and cv nuts and re-torqued all bolts, noise has now gone away, either a bolt somewhere was not at correct torque or over torqued.
