Crank Noise Coming from Driver Door

I’ve been experiencing an issue with my car recently. There’s a crank noise coming from the driver door whenever I open or close it. The sound is quite noticeable, and it seems to be getting worse over time.

I’ve attached a video to give you a better idea of the noise. Has anyone dealt with something similar?

Probably broken welds for the door check. Definitely have the dealer check that out. They might have to replace your door.

Mine has started to making some crazy noises as of late and I wasn’t too concerned about it until reading this. Really hope I’m not gonna need a new door down the line. I absolutely loath mismatched painted panels on cars.

Bingo, new door time.

This was a big problem on the Escape, I think the Mach-E inherited the door check design from it unfortunately.

Has anyone had luck on this issue? I got a private message from Ford Social Media because of posting on this thread. They said that they assigned me a case number but it's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard from anyone. Mine is making the exact same creaking/clicking noise as the posted video. I'm worried it's going to snap in the near future. I'm hoping that Ford makes this right and soon. Has anyone gotten anywhere with their complaints?

Mine's been clicking like that for a few months too. I am about to take it for 60k service and will ask to have it checked out.

What's wild is that I bought the Mach E over a Tesla thinking body issues like this would be more likely from a new company.

I brought my car in for the issue. They aren't sure if it is the door check or the door itself. They're trying the check next week when they get the part and if that doesn't work they'll replace the door.

The dealer replaced the door check today. To their credit, they didn't immediately dump the car back to me claiming they fixed things. They admitted the door check had no effect and have ordered a new door.
