Crickets from the non-Mach E members.
Yup. They have officially boycotted the MCA. I can hear them now, “How dare you allow pro Mach-e members into this club!” ?

Just made another post on their "hatred" thread to join you guys. Maybe they all quit.

If you've perused their forum, you'll see that:
a) They aren't very active
b) They don't show a high IT competency
c) Their forum software is really clunky.

I'm not sure how many of their members even keep up with their boards.

All true. However, when that thread was posted on the MCOA President "endorsing" the MME, they all seemed to jump on the hatewagon pretty quickly.

"All"? It's about a dozen making statements in opposition. A few more had responses of "meh". A total of 26 posts before I dropped the stink bomb, after which they haven't responded. We're already up to 21 posts on this thread. Just imagine how this forum would respond? I think they've only had one post to the entire MCA Member's Forum so far today.

I think we should all go announce our presence in the New Member forum:
https://mustang.org/forums/forum/members-only/mca-administration/new-mca-clubs-and-members/
Pick your location and check in. We'll be much more active than all of them combined.

Hey Mark @ChasingCoral , they came out of hibernation over there. The “not a Mustang” crowd has awoken.

Yes but either the bear is still sleepy or it's mellowed over the winter. The objections are rather lackluster so far.

they are so salty about it being called a mustang... OH NO IT HAS 4 DOORS... ITS ELECTRIC NOT SPORTY.. I mean theres a 4 cilinder mustang with 10 speed automatic shifter and an independent double wishbone suspension no live rear axel in sight... if thats a mustang then by all means...

Hmm. What were the responses?
Here's the best one. Now we know what it sounds like when a dinosaur roars: ?

"Putting a 429 in a Thunderbird didn’t make it a Mustang. Putting a bunch of electric motors in an SUV doesn’t make it a Mustang. Mustang is about sacrificing some convenience for style and performance. This thing is the exact opposite.

My time here is coming to an end. My membership expires this month and I won’t be renewing. I’m not interested in being associated with an SUV club or a marque club that cares so little about the marque that they stand by and allow it to be tainted this way.

You’re fools if you think that this will preserve the real Mustang. Instead it will accelerate the decline of Mustang sales, allowing Ford to discard it and still maintain the Mustang brand on its new line of faux Mustangs aimed at soccer moms who long for that “unbridled” feeling. When that happens, current MCA leadership and all the people who just want to hang out and polish their classics will be complicit.

You should have declared open war on Ford the minute they stabbed us in the back with “Mustang Mach E” announcement. Instead you chose corporate support and hospitality suites over the best interests of your marque and your members. Enjoy your classics and the last of the real Mustangs. Maybe I’ll pick up another one cheap when everyone else has stopped caring."

So I just probed again. I selected "report an issue" and made a request:
"Production of the Mustang Mach E will begin shortly. Would you please open a new Forum under Mustang Generations for Mach E?"

To be fair, I'm not sure we will after 50 years of the Mach-e either.
