Cruise control increases speed by itself

BC should be on any vehicle built now that has the option. Anything post like mid July I believe. They did the run of GTs, now other trims are being made.

If OP just turns off speed sign recognition it will all still work fine.

Have a Mach E premium (purchased 12/31/21) where this has happened repeatedly (in hands free BLue Cruise on 10 between PS and LA) where the “set” speed goes both up and down, without any driver intervention, i.e., 70 to 80, 85 to 75. Impossible to “document” and wonder whether there’s any “log” of this type of information? Service Dept unable to replicate, even with Ford engineer on site.

Check if you have speed sign recognition turned on. As noted earlier in this thread. Occasionally it can mis-recognize a speed limit. This has only happened to me once or twice in 20k miles. The other thing you can check is the speed tolerance if you have speed sign recognition on. It will add or subtract whatever your speed tolerance is to the posted limit.

For example if you have your tolerance set to 5, and you pass a speed limit sign that says 40, it will automatically set cruise to 45.
