OK I am reading the diagram differently. The ovals next to the number 1 appear to be the winch points to me. Looking back at Munro’s video of the front suspension, there is a hole in the frame at this location. I assume the hole is on both sides, but I didn‘t look at the who video again to confirm.

AHA! I was looking in the middle for a central hook/loop.

yes, there is a semi-suitable looking hole on each side... I think a tow-hook would do a number on it if pulling you out of a ditch or snowbank, but would be possible. Unless there are 'plug mount' towbars or some choices other than hooks for tow trucks, these holes would get pretty chewed up if used for winching.

Nothing in the back though, unless you have a hitch installed.

At least rear I have a hatch for a screw in hook. Haven't checked front.
Do you not have a hook in the trunk ready to be screwed in?

Eu area cars have them. The North American cars do not. Nor is there a spot to screw the hook into were we to go out and buy one. Odd isn't it?

I think that's the hole that was torn during transit on @ChasingCoral's car. Someone tied it down there apparently.

I wonder how Ford gets the Mach E onto trucks that deliver cars to dealers? They have to attach to something!!!~

My Chevy Bolt came with a screw in hook and it goes in the front bumper where there is a plastic panel that can be removed to screw it in. If you look under the air compressor kit in the back of the Mach E, you can see an empty slot in the foam where the hook should be, but it is not there.

Most cars do. I’ve used them several times to pull a stuck car out of the mud or snow. Not sure how that’s going to work with the MME. I guess it’s not.

There are reports of Mach E owners sustaining considerable damage because the tow truck driver did not know how to tow a Mach E. Ford publishes a guide available to tow compnies, but not part of the Mach E owners manual. 2021-Wrecker-Towing-Guide-MCS-5716(10).pdf . It has detailed towing information on several pages. I hope it is a help to you. You might print it and keep a copy in your car.
IT seems like everybody needs to have a printed copy of this in the glovebox. Nice find, this will save a lot of people a lot of trouble. You sir, have won the internet today!

Yeah, we might want to hear from @ChasingCoral on this. I seem to recall there was a bit of an issue with those holes on delivery.
Yes, definitely don't let them sink hooks into the protective rails on either side of the battery. They are aluminum:

Agreed. There are no winch/tie down points at 2-5. There are some that look like they could be used but are in aluminum members.

Mach E only has #1 for winch, and #6 (tires) for tie down.

YIKES!
Did they repair/replace that rail? seems like a tear would be a bad stress concentrator.

This also looks like we should be careful when jacking not to use that rail as a lift point!

That rail is inboard from the structural support where the jack points are located (and well marked).

Good news: The dealer ordered and replaced the damaged battery protection rail.
Bad news: They saw damage on the right rail and replaced it. My photo is of the left rail! They have ordered another and will replace it soon.
