The dealer doesn't get the $7500 and some states require demos to be sold as used. Ford has a program so the buyer gets the $7500 directly in those states. You'll find a thread on that.

Probably buyers regret situation. They can't sell their demo cars until they have both 4,000 miles and 4 months of demo time under its belt.
