Hi guys,

I’ve got a 2022 model that I’ve had for about 18 months, it’s due to go into the dealer today to have some seatbelt warnings fixed. What do I need to ask for to get the stronger charge speeds above 80%?

I’ve made do so far, but as it’s going in now I thought I’d try and get it sorted.

With it being a 2022 model it should already have the updates that improve DC charging speeds over 80%

Easy way to tell is to hook up to a DC Rapid charger and let it charge over 80%. If the rate of charge is higher than 12kWh then the likelihood is you have the update. It should hover around 40kWh until you get to 95% ish when it will drop to ~7kWh

Yeah defo doesn’t do that, when it hits 80% it always throttles to 7-8kw.
I got the car in March 2022 but maybe it’s actually a 2021 model as far as the builds are concerned.

Ah ok - still strange though as they did a “Customer Improvement Program” for all the 2021 models where owners were encouraged to bring the car in for some software updates - and the improved charging was one of them.

Also if it’s been in to dealer for the HVBJB Recall (software update) that too should have updated the required modules to improve charging.

If you’d like me to check out what’s been occurring you can send me a private message with your VIN number and I can see what’s previously been updated on your vehicle.

Yeah mine’s not been back to the dealer at all since I’ve had it. No doubt it’s due all sorts of stuff but the lease company are awful at handling this stuff and I’ve just forgotten about this stuff over time as the car’s been working fine.

Will send you a message, thank you!

The module you want updated specifically is called OBCC. Just tell the dealer you're experiencing slow charger speeds/charging issues at the DC Rapid Chargers. There's a TSB/SSM related to this, and they can apply it for you. I know with my 2021, it really helped.
