I frequently switch to whisper or unbridled. When I come back to my car it usually, but not always, switches back to Engage, which is annoying because the car doesn't announce it, I just have to feel it and check the setting. Anyone know why or how to get it to stick to my previous setting?

This has been mentioned in several threads; it seems to be a bug.

As such no one has a setting or such to make not do it.

Do you have a profile, and if so, are you selecting your preferred driving mode in said profile? The driving mode will be (well, should be, anyway) automatically selected when you use your profile. If you like to switch between multiple driving modes, you can easily set up a profile for each and then select them using the numbered presets on the driver door. (They don't just move the seat, they select the entire profile.) For various reasons I sometimes like to use 1 pedal driving and other times 2 pedal, so I have two (otherwise) identical profiles and select them via the numbered presets on the door. Much faster than using the SYNC screen to select profile.

Note that if the car is in motion and you select a numbered preset on the door you'll get a message on the IPC telling you can't do that. Ignore it. The only then it won't do is move the seat; everything else associated with the profile will be selected (well, should be, anyway).

Thanks. Not sure if I have a profile. Is a profile created/maintained on the touch screen or on Fordpass phone app?

On the SYNC screen. Look up in the manual how to do it.

Thank you again @JohnFoxeSheets

So I have three seat settings:

1 is my comfortable driving setting
2 is a more relaxed driving position call it blue cruise lol
3 is working in the parked car, seat moved fully back

Today I was working from the car and pulled up my Mach-e profile and pressed seat position 2 or 3 and it changed to guest.

I pressed seat position 1 it would go back to my saved profile

I didn't realize position two would be guest profile and possibly lose some settings or be in default settings until this thread.

I'm going to set each number to my profile when I get a chance. If I ever get a misses Mach-e who I would let drive, she could have a button - just one though.

You’ll need to set up three profiles - each profile will be associated with a different seat position. And sadly the car won’t move the seat position while you’re driving. It only does it when the vehicle is not in motion (and maybe it even needs to be in Park - I don’t recall). They presumably do it that way to avoid an errant button press causing you to be crushed as the seat moves into your tiny wife’s position (don’t ask me how I know!🤣). Volvo works differently (and in my opinion better): you press and hold the seat position too move the seat. If you let go, it immediately stops. That way you can safely use it while driving. (I too have a cruise position and a traffic position.)

😆
I used to have number three set for vacuuming behind the driver's seat which took it all the way up to the steering wheel and yes I've almost been crushed

If you don't know how to stop this in the middle of your panic -

Just press one of the seat adjustments on the left side of the seat
