Display changed from mph to kph on it's own

My speed display changed from mph to kph magically and despite it saying different in settings it won't change back. Anyone experienced this or have any solutions other than to visit the dealership?

I once noticed when I had the sync screen on while fast charging that when the screen is on after powering the car off, it shows km, when I turn accessories on it switched back to miles for range.

Managed after a lot of searching to find that there are 2 places you need to switch kph and mph but that still doesn't explain how it happened in the first place ?
