DIY Automatic Frunk open/close

I'm sure this is a stretch, but has anyone ever modified the frunk struts and latch mechanism with a powered setup?

I really like the idea of using my frunk. I mean, that's why I bought my '26 with a frunk option. But, I absolutely HAT how I have to close this sucker. From at least halfway open, I have to basically slam the lid down just to get it to latch. I'm not exaggerating here, either. it kinda hurts my feelings how hard I have to slam it closed and that makes me not use the frunk at all.

I agree, a pull-down setup would probably be enough for me. I'll have to look into this.

P.S. I feel like animal control will come after me every time I close the frunk...

You know, I bet EV-Vida could rig up a pull-down kit in no time at all! I'm not interested in the full kit they have, but a Caddy style pull down for the final latch would sure be interesting!

Instead of slamming it, I push lightly until the first latch catches, then place my hands on the edge of the frunk and give it a firm push to get the second latch to catch. Feels a lot less violent to me.
